Dawson Basketball Signs Louisiana Guard
Jordan Crawford from Simsboro, Louisiana has signed a Letter of Intent to play basketball at Dawson Community College next season. The 6’2 guard averaged 15.5 ppg, 7.6 rpg and 5 apg while shooting 53% from the field and 32% from the 3 point line.
“I am absolutely elated to sign Jordan,” remarked Dawson Coach Joe Peterson. “He has the talent, skills and character to be an outstanding college basketball player. I have no idea how so many other coaches overlooked him, but I have absolutely no doubt in his ability. He is going to shine here and will prove a lot of people wrong. Jordan Crawford is a winner on and off the court!”
This past season, Crawford led Simsboro High School to the Class B State Championship and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament. It was Crawford’s 4th state championship in the five seasons he’s played on varsity. They were the runners-up in the one year they didn’t win it. Crawford has amassed a career record of 164-20 in those five seasons. As a senior he was also named 1st Team All State and the District MVP.
