Charles Lampten Conference Player of the Week Again
The Mon-Dak Conference men's basketball player of the week is Charles Lampten, a 6'11" sophomore center from Dawson Community College. It is the 2nd time this year that Lampten has won the award.
During a 2-0 week for the Buccaneers, he scored 30 points (58% from the field), had 26 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 3 blocked shots. In Sunday’s 88-69 win against Miles Community College, Lampten had 19 points and 18 rebounds in 25 minutes of action. On the season, he is averaging 11.0 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game. He leads the conference in block shots and is 2nd in rebounding.
Charles is from Roanoke, Texas and he attended Byron Nelson High School.
