The DCC Softball coaching staff recently hosted a softball camp in the state of Utah from June 7-8. Head Coach Jim LeProwse and Assistant Coach Tami Johnson led the instructional camp held at Fremont High School in Fremont, UT.
An estimated 50 softball athletes attended the camp, representing many different high schools in the region over a two day span. The camp also benefited DCC’s Softball program, allowing them to recruit and evaluate at nearby tournaments throughout the weekend.
Both Dawson softball coaches mentioned speaking to numerous future recruits as well as players that participated in the camp who will be attending Dawson this upcoming Fall 2017. Coach LeProwse said, "It was an awesome opportunity to go down to Utah and host a camp. The camp was very productive and a great opportunity to see very talented future recruits. We have been very successful with getting very talented players out of Utah. Many players from Utah helped us win four region championships these last five years. I'm excited about the opportunity we have established in Utah."
